University of Bristol, Art & Horticulture walking tour of Royal Fort Gardens
Royal Fort Garden, Tyndall Avenue, Bristol , Bristol, BS8 1UH
Royal Fort Gardens has a green flag for being one of the best parks in the country. It’s rich in biodiversity and home to a big portion of the University’s public art. This short walking tour in and around RFG will lead us round four of the artworks from the public art collection and explore points of interest and horticultural features of the gardens.
Please note the walk will involve using steps.
Over the last 15 years the University has commissioned site-specific sculptural art commissions for different locations across the estate; including Goldney gardens, Royal Fort Gardens and Stoke Bishop. They’re all sensitive to their location, and many encourage interaction or practical use in some way.
