The Wills Memorial Building Tower on Queen’s Road is one of Bristol’s most iconic neo-Gothic landmarks. The tour involves climbing over 200 narrow, spiral steps with no lift access to the top of the tower. As such, the tour is unfortunately not suitable for those with mobility issues or children under 8 years old. Sensible footwear is recommended.
All tours are free of charge as part of Heritage Open Days, offering a unique opportunity to explore rarely seen parts of the University and its collections. While there’s no cost to attend, donations are warmly welcomed on the day in support of The Grand Appeal, the official charity for Bristol Children’s Hospital.
