Visitors are invited to step inside the School of Earth Sciences EarthArt Gallery to explore the current exhibition ‘Collapsing Time’ by Steph Tudor.

EarthArt brings together creatives and scientists to explore research topics and practices linked to environmental and earth sciences.

The current exhibition 'Collapsing Time' explores the fluctuating landscape of the River Avon, and the interplay of geological, ecological and tidal cycles. Artist Steph Tudor draws on research from geologists, oceanographers, and flood mapping projections and explores how working by hand with vernacular materials can allow deeper connections to form between the human body and the unique history and ecology of a place, deepening a sense of belonging.

Steph joined the School of Earth Sciences at the University of Bristol for a 6 months EarthArt fellowship in 2024 which underpins this exhibition.
