A Chance to Climb the Tower of Spite - Wainhouse Tower
Wainhouse Tower is a 253 foot tall Victorian observatory-chimney located in Halifax, West Yorkshire, offering panoramic views of the local area. Loved by residents, the circumstances of its construction lead some to refer to it as the Tower of Spite.
Bankfield Museum
Bankfield Museum was the former home of local textile manufacturer Edward Akroyd and his wife Elizabeth and became a free museum for the people of Halifax in 1887 following Edward's death.

The Todmorden Hippodrome was built in 1908 as a traditional vaudeville theatre. Come and see our theatre's new extension, its extensive archive collection of photographs, artefacts, costumes , which charts its history, custodians and performers.
Eastwood Masonic Hall, Halifax Road, Todmorden
Freemasons have been meeting in Eastwood since the 1850's following the opening of the Station Hotel built to service both the growing local community and travellers. Following the hotel's closure in 1960's it was converted in to a Masonic Hall.

Free Entry to Shibden Hall
Set in the picturesque surroundings of Shibden Park, Shibden Hall dates back to 1420 and offers visitors a fascinating journey through the lives of the people who lived and worked there, including the noted diarist Anne Lister (1791-1840).
Greetland Heritage Event
St Thomas’ Church Greetland and West Vale will be open to the public on Saturday 19th September 1030 until 1530. There will be a local history display, two talks, a guided walk and access to many areas not usually available to the public.
Halifax Playhouse Heritage Tour
The Halifax Playhouse is a Grade II listed building owned by the Halifax Thespians, It was bought and rejuvenated from the original 1836 Methodist Chapel into a thriving member owned theatre, first opening its doors in 1949.
Hebden Bridge Picture House
Heritage Open Day at Hebden Bridge Picture House, Saturday, September 12th, 10am-noon. Film screenings, a chance to find out about the history of the 105-year-old cinema and the plans for the future, talks, refreshments, children's crafts.
