Guildford Quaker Meeting House (The Religious Society of Friends)

Holy Trinity Church Guildford
Grade I listed building. Most important Georgian church in Surrey. Built 1749-63 by James Horne in Palladian style, replacing medieval church. Enlarged in 1888 by Sir Arthur Blomfield. Fine Renaissance tomb of George Abbot Archbishop of Canterbury.

Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church
Designed in the early English Saxon style and faced in flint, the church was consecrated by the Catholic Bishop of Southwark on 8 October 1913.
Prior's Field School
Prior's Field School occupies a private house designed by the renowned Arts and Crafts architect Charles Francis Annesley Voysey. Visitors can take a guided tour of key areas of the house and it's beautiful gardens.
Royal Grammar School Guildford
The Royal Grammar School: Grade I listed building dating from the late 16th century with later additions. The Chained Library and Tudor schoolroom are open. Information relating to the history of the School is on display in the schoolroom.
Sime Gallery Art Gallery Tour, walk and Talks
We will give a free introductory talk on Sunday September 13th 2pm followed by additional guided tour of St Mary's Church, Worplesdon nearby and Sime's grave there. There will be an additional talk about the local caricatures he drew at 2,30pm.
St James’ Church, Shere
The site is normally open to the public but unattended. For HOD there will be tour guides and also access to the bell tower. St James’ is a large 12th century church with an imposing spire and many interesting features inside.
St Lawrence Church, Effingham
Visit this Grade II* listed church, with origins in the 12th century. Sir Barnes Wallis, inventor of the “bouncing bomb” for the 'Dambusters Raid', is buried in the churchyard.
