EXHIBITION: MERCHANT NAVY – TYNESIDE STORIES
The exhibition, which focuses on the 20th and 21st centuries, tells a powerful story of local shipping lines, ship repair yards, the service during two world wars, the varied community support and training offered over the years to seamen.
Open Days at St.John's with local history exhibition
Visit to St.John's Church designed by Enoch Bassett Keeling in an English High Victorian Rogue Gothic Revival style with a polychromatic use of materials and consecrated in 1869. A display of Killingworths Waggonway and Railway history.

St Alban's Church, Earsdon
St Alban's was built in 1837 and is the third church on this prominent hill top site. Our Heritage Open Days event coincides with the annual Earsdon Scarecrow Festival so the village will be busy.
St Augustin's Church
Walk around this Grade II listed Victorian church, consecrated in 1884. It was built on land donated by Captain William Linskill to meet the need of the rapid growth of population in the area and is dedicated to St. Augustin, Bishop of Hippo
