The 1852 Building will be open including the tower, which is accessed by 59 steps up a spiral staircase, giving a great view of Loughborough and surrounding districts. Items from the School's archives will be available to view in adjacent rooms
78 Derngate - The Charles Rennie Mackintosh House
An ordinary terraced house, transformed by the Glaswegian architect, artist and designer, Charles Rennie Mackintosh, for patron WJ Bassett-Lowke, a local businessman and model engineer. The only house in England with Mackintosh interiors.

A guided walk/talk around Newark's timber framed heritage
As well as spotting the less obvious, well-disguised timber-framed buildings, this walk, guided by local architect Bernard Martin, around the centre of Newark, will visit some of the timber-framed buildings.
A School Through Time
Opened in 1697, this school is one of the only buildings in the Midlands to have been designed by Sir Christopher Wren. New exhibitions look at what life was like in 1697, and feature original documents never displayed before.

All Saints Church, Wingerworth: Open Day
Explore our beautiful church, where the original 12th-century building blends with the large modern extension. Look for 'Jack o' the Green' and see the Mausoleum, one of only two in Derbyshire. A teddy bear hunt in the church will also be available.
