Saturday 12th September at 2pm, Join us for a guided walk and talk around some of the monuments to people who died in tragic circumstances, and are buried in our cemetery. Sunday 13th September 2-4pm, take a self guided walk around those memorials.

Visitors will have he opportunity to view the following in the estate archive at Eridge Park: Collection of John Robinson papers (1770 - 1782), The Abergavenny Family Plate (17th Century), 16th Century illuminated Psalter & a longcase clock (1705).

Salomons (Broomhill) was the country home of the Salomons family from 1829 to the mid 1930s. Designed by Decimus Burton between 1830 and 1850, and extended by the Salomons family later in the century, it sits on 36 acres of picturesque grounds.

Join us for this walk around Woodbury Park Cemetery where you’ll hear about the history of the cemetery and the lives of some of the everday people who rest there.

This walking tour will look at the history of the Pantiles where in 1606, the medicinal springs that would put Tunbridge Wells on the map were discovered.

This walk will look at how the town developed from a hole in the ground to a cultured Victorian town. This was not without some challenges and events which will be illustrated as the town broke out of The Pantiles to reach its peak "up the hill".

Up until the 1820's, Tunbridge Wells was pretty much focussed around the Old High Street and The Pantiles. That all changed when Decimus Burton designed and executed the Calverley Estate at the top of Mount Pleasant. This is the story.

A great opportunity to visit this Victorian Primary School which was opened in June 1889. Join us and enjoy some creative free workshops courtesy of the team from Scotney Castle, whilst exploring the history of St Barnabas School and it's archives.
