A chance to see inside two of Rochester Bridge Trust’s historic buildings which are situated on the Esplanade overlooking the River Medway at Rochester.

A 50-minute illustrated talk on the history and architecture of this almost 1,000 year old church.

11th century church with displays of it's historic features and archive materials. Open for self-guided tours and refreshments with cream teas available in the afternoon.

Boundary House at 375 Rochester High Street is the former home of Featherstones Department Store. Before Featherstones, the site was an Elizabethan Manor built by Sir John Hawkins. The foyer gallery will be open as will the painted (1720s) boardroom.

Join us on a guided tour of the Almshouses during the Heritage Open Days to discover the fascinating stories of the Foord Almshouses.

Discover Richard Watts and the fascinating history of his Charity established since 1579. A guided tour and exhibition will provide a glimpse into the lives of the people who lived & worked here; an almshouse will be open for viewing where possible.

The French Hospital charity established in 1718 will be open to the public on Saturday 13th September from 11am - 4pm. There will be bookable talks about the Huguenots and a chance to see the buildings and gardens and refreshments.

One of the Great Barns of England; built by the monks of St Andrews monastery in Rochester around 1403, it is one of the longest medieval wooden structures in the country, and an inspiring example of the craftsmanship of the age.

In the 16th Century poor travellers were provided with one night’s lodging in the six bedrooms at the rear of this property. Visitors can see two of the travellers’ rooms furnished as they would have been, ready for travellers to arrive.
