AOB is delighted to open it's doors to the public for an exclusive tour. You will have the opportunity to see the original internal brickwork design & artefacts, along with where the old swimming pool was and the modern day stunning architecture!

Consecrated in 1848 our Grade II listed church will be open to view our baptism and marriage registers. We will also display research on the names listed on our WWI and WWII memorials.

St Paul’s Parish Church Stalybridge will be open to the public on Saturday, 13thSeptember with the opportunity to view our bell tower and enjoy our Saturday cafe. A warm invitation is extended to all.

St James Church is a Grade II listed Building, consecrated in December 1865. Church is near Ashton Town Centre with good public transport links, bus, train and tram.

Fairfield Moravian Church and Settlement are of unique importance nationally, being the largest of its kind in Britain. It has been made into a Conservation Area with all of its buildings listed as being of Special Architectural or Historic Interest.

Grade II listed Church of England church. Stained glass windows. Interior elements include fixed pews and galleries with box seating. Other fixtures include a stone font and pulpit, a wooden lectern, and various memorial tablets.

Our Scout Group was formed in 1916 and we have a long history of providing fun, friendship and fresh air in our scout hut and garden. We are holding a Heritage Garden Party to celebrate our history with displays, garden games and refreshments.

Grade II listed church (J. Medland Taylor Architect) which has a banded slate roof and windows with stained glass by William Morris & Co (Sir Burne-Jones) and Henry Dearle. There will be numerous displays including Scouting paraphernalia.

Using museum collections and archives images, there will be a display relating to local buildings, landmarks and sites of architectural interest. Also a display about the local Co-operative Movement prepared by Tameside Local History Forum.
