The oldest lighthouse on Flamborough Head, built in 1674, bankrupted its builder. However, it has served as a watch point and telegraph tower and is still used as a marker by fishermen today. Please note: only the ground floor is open to visitors.

The parish church for Cottingham, serving an area of about 9,600 acres. Local historian, James Hargreave will lead a tour around the church at 11-00 on 12 September, describing the history of the building and the stories of its monuments and windows.

Located just outside Nafferton, near Driffield, the Southburn Archaeological Museum houses finds and artefacts from the Yorkshire Wolds with the aim of making archaeology fun, informative and accessible to adults and children alike.

Bridlington Cemetery Chapel is a large striking Gothic building, which can be seen from some distance. It is normally closed and is rarely open to the public.

Located on Bridlington Harbour, this small museum tracks the history of the Harbour from its early days as a significant Port over 1000 years.

The Grade II* listed building celebrated its 800th anniversary in 2025. Elements of the Church survive from the 13th and 14th centuries, followed by a restoration in the 19th century.

Visit 28 Lairgate, which, with the adjoining property at 26, is a Grade II Listed Building. Built as the Beverley Savings Bank in 1843, it was renovated in 2024 to divide it into two properties.

Eastgate Studio is an artist run, print studio and gallery in Beverley. The space includes six traditional printmaking workshops and a gallery showcasing a wide range of print techniques including mezzotint, linocut, dry point and screenprinting.

The most secret of the Minster gardens, rarely open to the public, a real delight. Close by are the Quiet Gaedens.

The Stamford Bridge Tapestry commemorates the Battle of Stamford Bridge in 1066: It took five years; twenty-five stitchers; one talented designer; and a man with a dream! If you've seem the Bayeaux tapestry, then you must see this!

Visit Hornsea and see Bettison's Folly. Originally built in the grounds of Newbegin House in 1844, the 55ft-tall tower has delighted and intrigued visitors ever since.
