Built in 1690, King Edward Street chapel is one of the oldest and most beautiful buildings in Macclesfield. It was among the very first non-conformist chapels to be built in the UK and has been a Unitarian Chapel since the 18th Century.
Liverpool in 1826 was a hotbed of Masonic unrest and led to some Lancashire Lodges ceding from the United Grand Lodge of England becoming The Grand Lodge of Wigan.
Hear the story and see the artefacts of one of those rebel Lodges.

The chapel is a Grade II listed building and has been a place of worship and community for 150 years, retaining many of its original features. There will be an exhibition showing the church's life, past and present and a children's activity.
