A leisurely stroll around the castle moat and the church and some of the older parts of the village. The castle, the most imposing building in the Forest of Dean, was built in the early twelfth century and enhanced during the Edwardian era.

St. Mary the Virgin in English Bicknor is a Grade I listed Norman church (c. 1100). It features remarkable Norman architecture, medieval effigies, and a rare anti-clockwise bell ring.

The Church of St Peter, Paul and Mary occupies the same site as the Bell Tower, previously a church in its own right. The site has a history going back to the Crusades and then the English Civil War.
